ChargePoint Home Flex — North America's most popular home charger
ChargePoint Home Flex is designed for North American homes (120 V / 240 V, NEMA 14-50 or hardwired). It supports up to 50 amps (12 kW) and adjusts amperage through the ChargePoint app. The Home Flex is ENERGY STAR certified and works with all standard J1772 vehicles.
The charger requires a ChargePoint account for setup. ChargeDoc will use this account to access your charging data through the ChargePoint API.
Cloud API integration
ChargeDoc will use the ChargePoint OAuth2 API to access your session history with your permission. The integration will be read-only — ChargeDoc will not be able to control your charger, adjust settings, or access payment information.
What ChargeDoc will import per session:
- Session start and end time
- Energy delivered (kWh, precise to two decimal places)
- Outlet identifier (to distinguish multiple chargers)
No location data, no personal account data, and no payment information will be accessed.

Once your sessions are imported, ChargeDoc will generate:
- IRS Business Use Report — for Schedule C (Form 1040) or business expense deductions. Includes session table, business use %, deductible amount, and signature field.
- QuickBooks-compatible CSV — with columns for Date, Description, Location, kWh, Total Cost, Business %, Deductible Amount, Currency, and Vehicle.
Set your electricity rate ($/kWh) and business use % once — ChargeDoc will apply them to every imported session.
Privacy
ChargePoint handles your charging data under their own privacy policy. ChargeDoc will only read session data with your explicit OAuth2 authorization. You will be able to revoke access at any time in ChargePoint's connected apps settings.
All data processed by ChargeDoc is stored locally on your device — no ChargeDoc servers, no registration required.

How to set it up
Connect your ChargePoint account
Once the integration is available, open ChargeDoc and go to Settings > Wallbox > ChargePoint. Tap 'Connect' — you'll be redirected to ChargePoint to authorize the ChargeDoc app.
Grant data access
Sign in with your ChargePoint account and approve read access to your charging sessions and energy data. No control of your charger will be required.
Start automatic tracking
ChargeDoc will then import all sessions from your ChargePoint Home Flex automatically. New sessions will sync in the background after each charge.
