JuiceBox lineup — flexible power for every home
Enel X offers three JuiceBox models for residential use:
- JuiceBox 32 — 32 A (7.7 kW), NEMA 14-50 plug
- JuiceBox 40 — 40 A (9.6 kW), NEMA 14-50 or hardwired
- JuiceBox 48 — 48 A (11.5 kW), hardwired, fastest home charging
All models connect to the Enel X Way cloud platform (formerly Juicenet). ChargeDoc will use the Enel X API to read your session history — no physical access to the charger required.
Cloud API integration
ChargeDoc will authenticate via OAuth2 with the Enel X Way platform. The integration will be read-only — ChargeDoc will not be able to control your charger, adjust charge schedules, or access payment data.
What ChargeDoc will import per session:
- Session start and end timestamp
- Energy delivered (kWh, precise to two decimal places)
- Unit ID — to identify the correct charger if you have multiple
IRS Schedule C / CRA T2200 documentation
Once your JuiceBox sessions are in ChargeDoc, you will be able to produce:
- IRS Business Use Report (PDF) — for Schedule C (Form 1040). Includes a full session table, business use percentage, deductible amount calculated in USD, and a signature field for your records.
- QuickBooks CSV — compatible with QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, and Wave. Columns: Date, Description, Location, kWh, Total Cost, Business %, Deductible Amount, Currency, Vehicle.
- CRA Employment Expense Report (PDF) — for Canadian users claiming under T2200 / T2125.
Set your electricity rate ($/kWh) and annual business use percentage once in Settings — ChargeDoc will do the rest for every session.
Charging location tracking
ChargeDoc will let you tag each session by location type:
- Home — costs calculated at your electricity rate
- Workplace — employer reimbursement report
- Public Network — logged for expense tracking
Location tagging is the key field for IRS Schedule C deductions. ChargeDoc will make it a one-tap selection per session.
Privacy
Enel X Way handles your charging data under their privacy policy. ChargeDoc will request only read access to session data via OAuth2. All ChargeDoc data is stored locally on your device — zero servers, zero accounts on our end.
Conclusion
JuiceBox is a proven Level 2 charger trusted by hundreds of thousands of US and Canadian EV owners. With ChargeDoc, every JuiceBox session will become a tax-ready record — IRS PDF ready, QuickBooks CSV ready, done in seconds. Join the waitlist and be the first to know when it launches.
The step-by-step guide below describes the planned flow and applies once the integration is available.
How to set it up
Connect your Enel X Way account
Once the integration is available, open ChargeDoc and go to Settings > Wallbox > JuiceBox. Tap 'Connect' — you'll be redirected to Enel X Way to authorize ChargeDoc to read your charging data.
Grant read access
Sign in with your Enel X Way account and approve access to your charging history and energy data. ChargeDoc will only request read access — no control of your charger.
Start automatic tracking
ChargeDoc will import all sessions from your JuiceBox automatically. New sessions will sync in the background after each charge completes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which JuiceBox models will be supported?
ChargeDoc will support JuiceBox 32 (32 A), JuiceBox 40 (40 A), and JuiceBox 48 (48 A) — all managed through the Enel X Way app and cloud platform. The integration is currently planned.
Do I need an Enel X Way account?
Yes — JuiceBox chargers are managed through the Enel X Way (formerly Juicenet) platform. If you set up your JuiceBox with the app, you already have an account.
What session data will ChargeDoc import?
ChargeDoc will import session start time, end time, energy delivered (kWh), and charger ID. This is everything needed to calculate electricity costs and create IRS-compliant reports.
Will the integration be real-time?
Sessions will sync via the Enel X API after each charging event. Background sync will run periodically through iOS background tasks — typically within 15 minutes of session completion.
Can I use ChargeDoc without JuiceBox?
Yes. ChargeDoc already supports manual session entry for any charger, including public networks (ChargePoint, Tesla, Electrify America, EVgo, Blink). Manual entries are fully supported for IRS reports.
